WHAT IS PERMEABLE NO FINES CONCRETE?

Permeable concrete – also known as no fines concrete – is an open-textured mix made with cement, water and coarse aggregate, without the fine aggregate or sand used in conventional concrete. It makes gaps – or voids – between the aggregate which lets water drain through the finished layer rather than collecting on the surface.

Permeable concrete is often used as a stable, free-draining base beneath resin-bound driveways and other permeable surfaces. It’s also useful for drainage and landscaping work. Think of it as a specialist base material rather than a direct substitute for conventional concrete.
